Food price crisis

Food prices increased 130 per cent from January 2002 to July 2008. In a public discussion taking place on 3 October at the EBRD, leading experts from the EBRD, Harvard University, George Washington University and Stanford University will look at the causes, consequences and possible remedies for the current food crisis.

EBRD Board recommends Bank invest in Turkey

The EBRD’s Board of Directors decided today that Turkey should become a recipient of EBRD investments, pending final confirmation by the Bank’s Board of Governors.

Derivatives in Russia

On 23 September 2008 leading experts from Russia and the global markets in derivatives will gather at the EBRD Headquarters in London for the international conference 'Derivatives in Russia'. Organised by the EBRD, three Russian trade associations and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, the conference will focus on the development of the Russian market in derivatives.
