What is a podcast?

An audio broadcast that has been converted into a file that can be distributed over the internet, often using syndication feeds, for playback on portable media players and PCs.

Because podcasts are created as audio files, they can be played on an everyday computer, as well as on an mp3 player or some mobile phones. If you would like to receive the podcasts automatically, you'll need a program that can subscribe and read the feed, such as RSSRadio for Windows, NewsFire for Mac and Liferea for Linux.
