Policy dialogue
The new report on implementation of the Public Information Policy in 2007 is now available in English and Russian. In the interests of clarity and consistency the report addresses each PIP obligation and its implementation in the order in which these appear in the policy.
Environmental and Social Policy and Public Information Policy reviews
The new revised drafts of the Environmental and Social Policy (E&SP)
(0.3Mb) and Public Information Policy (PIP)
(0.1Mb) are now available.
There were a series of one day public consultation workshops to discuss both draft policies according to the following schedule:
26 March: Budapest
28 March: Belgrade and Moscow
1 April: Tbilisi
4 April: Bishkek
8 April: London (EBRD Headquarters)

Independent Recourse Mechanism review
The EBRD will review its Independent Recourse Mechanism (IRM) in 2008 with the assistance of external IRM Review Consultant, Natalie L. Bridgeman, and IRM Review External Advisor, Dr. Edith Brown-Weiss. A Stakeholder Consultation and Disclosure Plan for the IRM Review process will be made public in the coming weeks. In the meantime, preliminary comments can be sent to natalie@ihrlaw.com.
The IRM Reviewers were also be conducting informational meetings regarding initial comments on the existing IRM and IRM Review process with external stakeholders, including NGOs, in conjunction with the E&SP and PIP review public consultation workshops in Budapest, Belgrade, Tbilisi and Bishkek in March-April 2008.
