Factsheet  (0.3Mb)

Chair:Gonzalo Ramos, EBRD Director for Spain and Mexico

Vice Chair: Dag Halvorsen, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norway

Support from the donor community is a key element in EBRD’s strategy for the ETC countries. The Bank has received considerable grant support in recent years, and has approached donors to increase these amounts in the years ahead.

Through the Early Transition Countries Initiative (ETCI), the EBRD implements projects in the ETC countries.

Multi-donor ETC Fund

Launched in November 2004, the multi-donor ETC Fund is aimed at improving the predictability of EBRD’s assistance delivery in the ETC countries and at improving overall coordination of donor support.

The ETC Fund operates alongside the support that is provided through bilateral funding channels. Major bilateral donors include Japan, Switzerland and the US. To date, amounts pledged to the Fund were approximately €55.4 million.
