Economics of Transition publishes high-quality, refereed articles on the economics of transition and institutional development. The journal publishes theoretical studies on economic aspects of transition and the emergence of market economies and market institutions more generally. Empirical analyses that use data from countries in transition, from central-planning to market-type economies and from emerging-market economies elsewhere in the world are welcomed. Economics of Transition regularly collaborates in the organization of conferences and workshops on specific themes from which a selection of papers will be chosen for publication. In addition, reviews of new books within its area of interest will be published.
