People and Projects

Behind all the EBRD's investments are the individual companies, clients, advisers and Bank staff that make the projects happen. The transition of the EBRD region from the command to the market economy is most marked in the stories of everyday people - from steel plant manager to resort operator to market trader - whose ambitions, challenges and successes tell us much about the reality of doing business in this vast zone stretching from central Europe to central Asia.
